are linemen in Sac, Ca getting laid off as of the last few weeks?

Adjust the number of workers based on amount of work. Way to run a business.
Sucks to be a term employee! They know this going in when they take the job, so being laid off should be no surprise to any of them! Nobody wants to be laid off especially in these uncertain times, but there are other jobs out there and getting rehired elsewhere should be fairly easy, hopefully!
"term" linemen, although full time employees, can be terminated without severance. Permanent linemen/Outside Plant Techs would be eligible for severance based on the CWA contract on layoff payout.

Yes, a few term linemen out of Sac were terminated on 11/30, along with terms in other NoCal yards. The terms hired around early 2021 were safer than the ones hired second half of 2021. Next term layoffs probably early 2023.
