Move to Dallas?
Hahahahahaha, nope.
Dallas is awesome.
You workie, you movie.
dont go to dallas cuz the cowboys $uk $chitt and ur in a hole
If you do move to Dallas, move to Frisco. That's where our HQ will be in coming years. Shhh.....
Not me...
Rent a motel at Dfw till you find a better job
Don’t move family
Quit.
Find a job where you're appreciated.
“Nope. I have zero faith in "leadership" and the last thing I want is to be laid off and stuck in Dallas.”
^^^ Spot on.
Don't move for the job. If you do move for the job, rent don't buy.
Do you need another year or so to qualify for the pension? If so, it might make sense to rent your house out for a couple years and rent something in Dallas for a year or two. Anything other than that, nope. Take the severance. It doesn’t make financial sense. Do the math.
Move at your own risk:
If you’re asked to move then you’re a target for layoff. Move to Dallas (homeless he-l hole) and you will still be subsequently laid off. Happened to a few people I know. Uprooted their family and lives, sold their homes, and now they’re jobless stuck in a random city without a network or opportunities.
My suggestion is don’t do it. It’s not worth it.
Get the U-Haul ready. Milk it. This is what they don't want
Nope. I have zero faith in "leadership" and the last thing I want is to be laid off and stuck in Dallas.
