Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Chandler CEO Town Hall Tomorrow

Heard from someone in the know that Schart isn’t going to directly talk about layoffs during the town hall, but heard he will be making remarks about leveraging AI and that its going to be sold under the guise of being able to help make our current jobs “easier”. YEAH, JUST BEFORE WE GET LAID OFF AND REPLACED BY A ROBOT!

I am certain that AI is now good enough to replace Shart, too. He's nothing special.

They are attempting to roll out AI responses within the app, knowing it is responding incorrectly and they don’t care. They have no plans to change course or attempt to adjust it. They contemplate testing after they let it run rogue but know it won’t matter afterward nor work properly up front. Geniuses! I suppose as long as Shart brown noses the right ppl, feds won’t do anything, especially given the CFPB is a shell agency now. We are headed in a bad direction between job losses and no consumer protections.

There's no conspiracy here. Just turn on the news . He literally went on CNBC and told the host that AI would reduce the number of jobs- and the most obvious place it would happen first is technology. But he never said it wasn't going to happen across other jobs as well. He's not trying to hide anything.

Leave the hero alone!!! This executive’s total compensation at a large U.S. bank was reported as only $26 million for 2023 and $31.2 million for 2024. In mid-2025, the bank announced plans to name the executive as chairman as well, alongside a one-time $30 million equity award intended to retain the leader and recognize turnaround efforts.
