Fido snake managers continue what they do

So many posts about managers stealing credit.

But what no one talks about these days is why managers are ONLY giving opportunities to individuals who are in the same region as themselves to show off while pushing high performing associates into oblivion??

Is this some some toxic tactic to frustrate associates into quitting?

Why all the rhetoric about having to work in the office? When I worked at Fidelity everyone worked at the office way beyond normal hours and usually weekends. We even got along with co-workers and management - it was called team work. It was what made Fidelity great….strong ethical work culture. Seems the workforce has really changed. Management must really be struggling to coddle and stroke staff. Where did Fidelity’s culture of old go? Please don’t continue to deteriorate what I and many of my former co-workers helped build. Get a work ethic, a positive attitude and stop complaining!

@a1 That's spot on. It's a bunch of little fiefdoms. One thing to add is they will shift work to the least qualified or competent in order to maintain status.

I once read somewhere the longer you work for fidelity, you will realize that any urgent deadlines are nothing but result of poor planning and management.

Fido management acts like headless chicken, if you’re not liked as a person no matter how great you are at your job, they will continue to crucify you for whatever reason, RTO, colocation etc

It su-ks but that’s fidelity clueless leadership 🤡

@ac you’re 100% correct. Management here su-ks and one day they want one thing and a month later they want another thing. Seems like colocation is sticking though.

I am in the same region as my manager and can confirm I have never seen such blatant discrimination.

You have an associate who's a high performer that keeps getting shunned for his inputs while this snake manager is intentionally asking someone who's been working on same story since past 5 sprints.

Where does this stop? Like do you seriously expect people to give 100%

Who's to say you won't be next to get similar treatment in future?

@aa then managers need to be better at planning.

There were instances recently when associates moved for job only to being told they either need to move again or find a new role.

Co-location. Sorry but it’s not new. Fidelity wants co-located teams

It's yet another restructuring tactic.

First back to office and having everyone to allow connect week schedule.

Then it was about spending at least 6 hours in the office (yes they track badge in / out timings)

Then it was about zscaler, you're in trouble if your machine did not have continuous scan for almost 3 hours straight.

And now this, RIP Fidelity culture

Anytime you feel being discriminated, not given opportunities, almost 100% of time it's intentional.

They know how to target or pick on associate's nerves where it hurts most.

If you thrive on taking limelight, leadership role and your manager is asked to specifically focus only on those associates in "strategic" locations, they will continue to just bombard you with work while either stealing credit or having someone else present your work.
