As soon as I clicked on this, a TOP DOG law ad came on the radio. It’s a sign.

We get a recall letter, “Uh… your fuel injector might crack and pour gasoline all over your engine, and it might catch fire; and by the way, we don’t have parts to fix it.”

@bq @a7 In Ford's eyes, too informative can be non-conformative. If you did well on your PR then you some way or another are probably feeling emotional dissonance, especially if you care about your work. You may not though with your attitude. BTW i'm not who you're replying to. PR not going to the way you want is also known as (AKA) going where they don't want you to go with your Point of view (POV). Just like when they terminate or mark employees for simply stating facts or pointing out deficiencies in Ford operating procedures. AKA STFU and follow like a good little lemming should. Um. OK. Hey everybody. Which way did my fellow lemmings go? Over the cliff? Be right there! Sorry for the confusion.

@bj Such anger today? What’s going on with you, did your PR not go well or something else got to you?

@b9

I care about the quality of my work, to the same extent that "leadership" cares about the workers. I wonder if I'm alone?

I can speak from experience. I was reprimanded for trying to use better tools and workflows in our processes. I was singled out when I called out leaderships because they were not moving fast enough and enabling their workers to do their best part. The excuses I received were “everyone faces blockers at ford” and I kid you not “I don’t care what’s under the hood?” Guess who was the one that was fired for performance reasons?

@b9 the answer you’re looking for is leadership.

Good luck trying to build a product with no strategic vision, constant reorgs for no good reason, and a bunch of PETERS who would rather protect their back than have integrity and do the right thing. You have a great divide between the people running ford and the people building the product. When leaders have no accountability for their failures, when they never take ownership of the situation and just point the finger; how do you expect the people developing the product to succeed.

So all you people that complain and gripe about recalls....what is the REAL reason for the recall? Bad components from vendors? Or is it due to that everyone says "I dont even work much, etc" So where does quality start? With those building the product! So get off your lazy rears and start caring again about what you build.

I work in defense. I care about what I design and build. Its important to me. Everyone should feel the same about the job they do.

Another camera recall?

We need to hire more high tech high demand people from apple and fire non-former apple employees.

That will fix this.
