Thread regarding Fidelity National Information Services Inc. layoffs

Now comes the hard part

Our job volume is about to increase significantly with no corresponding increase in pay. We’ll have to cover the work left behind by those who were laid off, even though some of us already have more than we can handle. I swear, I’d almost rather have been laid off.

I can’t attest that escalations are already flowing in at high volume through the CCO org. I saw an email from a client that specifically called out the fact that FIS has preached time and time again that they are making changes to improve the CX, but did not consider the impacts that last weeks layoffs would have.

I think the layoffs will continue until there is customer impact. I'm not giving this company anymore. They've taken away so much already. I'm going to work to the level of my wage and I am not going to feel like poor planning and resource allocation is my fault.

Yep no longer putting in 10-12+ hour days as I’ve done for the past 5 years. It’s not worth it and the company obviously doesn’t appreciate that year after year I’ve given back every single PTO hour I’ve earned. I used to also be an overachiever but now I’m only giving the minimum I need to, to get through the day. At this point as long as severance and unemployment was guaranteed I would gladly volunteer for the next RIF if I could.

I came into a higher level role a little over a year ago as an overachiever, and have honestly made a lot of impact. After this last RIF, however, the overwhelming workload I already had has grown by around 50%. Literally cannot sustain this and have to look somewhere else.

I certainly am not motivated to work my a-s off. 9-5 and that’s it.

Tired of doing the job of 5 people in 10 different roles and getting low pay for my own role while having to think for literally everyone on multiples of teams and management included. This place is a joke

I’ve already inherited the job of my manager (an excellent leader laid off 2 yrs ago) with no change in title or pay. Plus my team just took over implementations for another product, again with no additional compensation. My team and I are already at or beyond capacity. Can’t wait to see what they dump on us this round.
