They really have been trying to get rid of 50 to 60 year old employees. I along with others were asked to resign instead of taking the dpc. We all said why the he-l would we leave without the lump sum and medical payoff. Exxon cant pip us so they want us to voluntarily leave. The forced a 56 year old out and a few others under 60 this year. So yes there is a move to get rid of employees and we were all part of research EMTech. Exxon still will not piptrie us though as all nres are still here. One employee just left without saying anything except it was for personal matters. exxon is trying hard to get this employee to sign a form stating that they voluntarily are resigning. So yes it is hard to get fired or let go at exxon.
Can they layoff NRE employees? Surely they can PIP NRE.
