@c1 This is correct. If you use the personal email you provided at separation, that is tied to your internal profile, so it thinks you are internal and wants you to sign in, which you can't because you don't have SSO anymore.
So use a different personal email and all will be good.
What email address are you using to apply? If it's the one that HR is using to communicate separation procedures with you, then try using another one. I heard that some system error message would come up. Why that should matter, goodness only knows.

Yes, I've experienced the same the last few days. I'm taking it as a strong sign to look elsewhere.
