I am not sure how it is in your region, but we are disappointed that first time ever, we are receiving DELL laptops as a part of the refresh cycle instead of Lenovo.
Maybe some in this forum folks have insights into what may be the reason.

@250 that's IBM's pathetic "IT support" and not Dell. They do not know a BIOS from a cricket ball.
My dell was horrific took 3 months of bios updates to be able to suspend without hardware reset.
Yes, your Lenovo laptop is spying on you and sending your information to China. After all, when you install BIOS updates, who knows what those BIOS updates really do. Do you ? Same as your "Made In China" cell phone and the wireless access points updates.
Big Brother is China, not Trump. LOL.
Remember IBM fired all its people in China?
This is the next step of this.
Tired of Chinese spying.
I originally wanted a Lenovo, not a Dell, but I ended up switching over. I actually like it! I really enjoy the Teams keypad functions, and it’s a touchscreen too.
No issues so far and is certainly faster than my X1 and better screen.
@b4
It's an Austin thing.

Dell makes a good laptop. I still run one with Win10 from 2011. Runs GREAT! I worked at Lenovo and felt like I was a Chinese spy. I do think the Chinese want to x86 dump products in US and run out US makers like Dell and HPE etc. Plus it looks like there is a love affair with IBM and Dell with IBM cloud touting Dell for x86 needs and IBM TLS shouting from the mountains they can do support for Dell. So it looks to be a gives and gets arrangement with IBM and Dell which is supposed to be verbotten per BCG rules.
It's done to save costs. I have now been offered a new laptop three times in a row. The first time I took my chances and they sent me a Dell, so I sent it back. The next two times I told them only send it if you can guarantee it till Lenovo and they could not so I said keep it and they did. Fingers crossed that my lenovo lasts a little bit longer, has there is no way I'm going to take a laptop without a trackpoint device. If enough people take a principled stand like this they might realize they have made a serious mistake and correct it.
Be grateful that you're not dealing with the cr-ppy Toshiba laptops that the pathetic IBM CIO under the Krabanaugh distributed around to various divisions in IBM a few years ago. And cr-ppy is an understatement. With Windows 8, the performance was sluggish at best. IBM is not known for making the best decisions when it comes to selecting employees systems. They are cheap and the IBM India Helpdesk is anything but cheerful. You would be better off using a remote cloud system. That was promised but never delivered.
English Translation :
Lenovo is a Chinese manufacturer. Dell is a US manufacturer. America first is now the motto.
It's incomprehensible why IBM sold its PC division to the Chinese.
I think that was also a mistake on IBM's part.
Du hast Recht.
