One of our Canadian teammates was RIFed this morning. Am I next (also in Canada)? Who knows. There is no sense as to who goes, as the RIF is driven by HR, and they know absolutely nothing about the people. They just sum the $ savings until they reach their target. Which is why older employees tend to go first.
