It was a long shot. They won F47, but winning both programs won’t happen. It’s too much risk for the DOD on a company that’s historically been late and over budget on most of the programs. The number of so-called analyst though who claimed Boeing has a good shot, I think it’s very misleading.

Boeing hasn’t designed a new fighter since the F18, 40 years ago.
That flight trainer TX-7 has been late and way over budget. The shock is DOD would still award that program to Boeing given their poor performance on the trainer, the tanker, etc..
Doubt Boeing will deliver on F47. Expect cost overruns, years behind schedule, lack of experienced engineers and on. Then Congress cancels program after no end in hearing Boeing's excuses.
