In FI - three more associates on teams in my group are out on leave due to stress. Constantly altering the roles, adding responsibilities, letting some internal groups who are supposed to support us borderline belittle us, refuse associate vacation day requests since they staff teams so thin - it’s depressing. Directors have said in huddles that they know how bad it is but it doesn’t matter. What a place. It’s so depressing.

Boomer here with many decades at Fidelity. Lots of head down hard work. For those of you who can’t handle the “stress” of hard work maybe the company should invest in comfort animals for you, could I suggest a cat. Would some office aroma therapy be helpful? Office massages… would that work to alleviate your burden? Snowflakes tend to melt with a little heat so your “stress” is understandable, after all you are a victim. The “I feel” generation has some terrible struggles. Maybe it’s time to move on to a job where you can be stroked, coddled and adored.
I have people out on my team in PI because of the stress my manager causes. She is the devil, for no reason. We were a top preforming team, then she came in and accused everyone of cheating and let us know she would catch us.
No one was cheating, but now I’m stuck on a bottom 2 team. I spent too much time trying to make it make sense why no one will do anything about her.
@cx Boomers were mostly unwanted offspring from their parents and the lack of care/love left them accepting of abuse from every angle later in life.
@cx OR… hear me out… Think older generation can’t handle leadership? They’re the ones that got fooled by their implementation of Agile and connect weeks being meaningful.
How come this never happened first 20 years I worked at Fidelity? Think younger generation can’t handle work.
@OP OP. What area are you in and what is causing the high workloads and stress right now ? It seems like the tech enhancements should be making things more efficient but maybe not.
