Thread regarding Cisco Systems Inc. layoffs

Weird Job Market

I’m recently impacted by the layoffs, and as I’m looking for a new job, I see that the market is very tough. There are a lot of jobs in the banking sector, and they are only for USC or GC. They’re not offering the jobs for visa holder, but the same job is offered to contractor on visa through c-2-c consultancy.

Sorry you were impacted, and hope you find a job soon. And ...

What the world needs now, is LO... LESS childish trolls! Seriously so sick of these people who feel compelled to make childish comments.

I'm quite thankful for you Blue-Anons, seriously. You're doing your part to ensure America First folks stay in power. Insert Starship Troopers meme.

It's almost like spending the last 20+ years outsourcing jobs from the US was a bad idea. If only there was a way to fix that.

Thanks for allowing few million Asian students and Asian contracting companies into USA. Everyone is fighting for the few jobs here in USA.

Use AI as excuse, layoff employees in USA and hire in Asia.

Many students are here to learn or steal IP and then replicate everything in Asia. Most of you know that country !

Corporate America, CEOs and politicians are in hand in hand to sc--w common man and hard working Americans.

Look at the house price and university fees, they are all out of control everywhere in countries following capitalism.

It is a dog eat dog world.!

Sorry to hear you are impacted. When the entire tech sector in the US is under such severe stress, it will be tough to land a job, period. Those of us that are citizens are in the same boat. It is simply overwhelming demand and meager supply. Average roles in average companies are attracting several hundreds of applicants. It’s almost impossible to stand out even if you meet all the expectations. I have seen three tech recessions or downturns in the valley last 25 years and every one of them has turned around into a bo-m. Everyone thinks this time is different but the same thing was said in the past.

your grift is over for now

but don't worry, eventually a self-loathing liberal will be elected President some day and will gladly sell-out the country again

@OP do you have a job in your country?

Are USC and GC allowed to work there?

It’s a very simple logic.
