My last day was August 29. Me and 4 other AR Analyst were laid off on Wednesday just after Q2.

I don’t see any future working at Staples. I was laid off in August and told me that my position was being terminated. They assured me it wasn’t about my performance. I worked as a software engineer. I believe that within the next five years and so, Staples may shut down its business since there are much bigger players in the market now.
Same for me. I would love to be laid off and collect 20 weeks severance. This company used to be a great company to work for. That ended about 10 yrs ago.
Every Dept has a list of associates who is next to go. If you don’t know about the list, it’s because you are on the list.
And for the Mgrs and Directors, you are on your VP’s list as well.
I’ve never wanted a company to fail so bad. While I’m grateful that I’m close to retirement and getting laid off would be a blessing, I shake my head on a weekly basis how much this company has changed. The ship is sinking.
