Some folks still act like this place offers a real career path. The truth is, most of us are just hoping to stay employed another week. Thinking long term here is setting yourself up for disappointment.

@ak Interviewed with another company for an easier position offering more money I wish I did it sooner, l left a day before the email went out , my coworker told me about the email. I don’t see a bright future for StateFarm unfortunately
Correct, managers/leaders keep switching like in Infosec or leave like in ET. Either way you have to keep proving yourself. I started in billing and payments and made a LARGE impact on their modernization effort starting in 2017 but left as I got bored of the role in 2021. Today I thought to look out how my old team is doing.. and EVERYONE IS GONE! Its a whole new crew and leadership that I would have to reproved myself to if I was to rejoin.
This and all IT jobs for me going forward is no different than flipping burgers, just pay me and thats it. There's no "career" or growth at State Farm and I believe in IT in general also.
I’m interviewing next week, everyone in my unit is looking after the unbelievable email!!!
No more loyalty at this company, State Farm has sc--w the policyholder and associate so long wonder why we are loosing our a-s Progressive. Got the wrong leadership in place. Ship is sinking
39 years and still going strong. No intention of retiring. Love this place

This is really all you need to know about "career paths". They don't give a sh-t about you and you have to sell your soul to join their club! Go read the AT&T board on here...same retar-s just different place. All trash!
Any person with a brain knows that literally any other company would pay more and have a better career path. If it were that easy to interview and leave, people would have done so.
@OP what department are you in?
