Never, they are not trustful remembering the situations in the past that new joiners were suddenly cut - that was the situation in my team, we expected the new joiner coming next month and also he put the papers in his previous company and waited to start at O. So he finished with nothing.
It depends on your situation, your location preferences, and what your family thinks. If it’s not the Bay Area or another major hub, but a remote spot, make sure there are other job options around and decide if it’s a permanent move or just temporary.
