Thread regarding Avaya layoffs

Hail Mary?

“What really matters is that companies that don’t continue to experiment – companies that don’t embrace failure – they eventually get into a desperate position, where the only thing they can do is make a ‘Hail Mary’ bet at the very end of their corporate existence. I don’t believe in bet-the-company bets.”

Seems like Infinity is the Hail Mary. They of course decided to end of life their entire current revenue stream in 5 years to hopefully “force” customers to move to Infinity. I guess MBAs will study this decision in the future. I wonder what they will learn?

@p9 ok PD, keep yapping away. That move is a threat, if verint and colabrio get their sh!t together and develop a cloud base solution, they don’t need you.

Blessed is the fruit of his axe man, JH
Holy PD, the mother of MCP
Pray it will convince customers we are an AI company and keep them sticky…..
Or we will quickly arrive at the hour of our death and see the white horse named Apollo.

What will they learn? "How not to run a business for Dummies" 😂 Couple of key chapters would pretty much cover the sh*t show that will be Avaya's legacy: Private Equity Debt. Arrogance. Greed. Deception. Lack of meaningful R&D innovation. Cash Cow Milking. Poor acquisitions. Poor/Old Products. Poor partnerships.
