This month I received a love letter from HR claiming in June they identified a mistake they made allegedly overpaying me. The letter sent includes instructions to send them just under $2000 lol. Zero explanation or supporting documentation with pay stubs or commission statements. WTF 😂

Sounds like a scam to me. Ignore it.
Change you name. They won't be able to find you.
Close any account where they ever deposited money. They will reach into any such account and take money out.

It’s probably a scam courtesy of the cousin of your actual HR representative in Bangalore. Throw it on the trash and tell them to sue you.
