Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Plan your Last day as the First day of a month

To get 1/12 of you annual PTO (that you’ve sure as he|| earned, make sure you give your notice so that your last day falls on the 1st day of the following month. WHY, you ask? Because Wells Fargo credits 1/12 of your PTO on the 1st (biz day) of each month. So if they can hold the 401k match to 12/15 (like the thieves that they are) you can at least get some $ back working till the 1st and they gotta pay out that PTO (1/12 of your annual days allowance.). And BTW -PLEASE. IF you plan to resign, use up ALL those personal holidays first and then use PTO. WHY? Because they don’t pay out unused personal holidays.

You should also pick a start day as close to the end of the month as possible and the end of the year if possible.

To the church lady, I don't think resigning so that you work on the first of a month is abusive. Its the policy. You work that day, you get allotted some PTO. I'm sure the a$$holes in Charlie's world - some putz like Kleber - will eventually change that.

I made sure I worked one day before having my daughter years ago. I think a lot of ppl do this, or they should if they don’t. It’s just how it works, it’s not abusing any system.

I don’t see anything wrong with working all the angles. You might do the same thing for health insurance, to save a month on COBRA costs.
I think our leaders don’t understand is that if they are going to play games, their employees are going to play them right back. Forcing people to RTO, the stupid 401k matching, not giving merit increases over a certain salary (effectively a pay cut in these inflationary time…) I guess they think they can act, but employees will not react? Wrong. It is human nature to find a new equilibrium. By not working as hard, by counting commute time as working time, by leaving the office earlier and earlier. A new equilibrium will be achieved, one way or another…

We call these Monday Morning Church Meetings folks.

Could you give us instructions on how to abuse FMLA and qualify for worker’s comp as well?
