Thread regarding Edward Jones layoffs

Is EDj being acquired by DC? Nothing makes sense. That does though.

Offshore, firings, opening an office in India. The Citi playbook. DC acquiring EDJ is the only thing that makes sense. Nothing else does.

@cp Haha, he acts like him and probably thinks he is Elon Musk. You're right though, he won't 'acquire' the firm. I'd guess the OP meant 'takeover'.

If it does end of being Chu-crock (of sh-t), many of us will almost immediately planning an exit and pursuing more compensation, a better culture, and ideally both elsewhere.

They may have a semblance of the control right now with a bad job market and ruling by fear, but who knows what the market will look like in 2-3 years. Many won't sprint on a never-ending hamster wheel while simultaneously getting a whipped to run faster and being compensated below market.

We all can agree that it's been going rapidly downhill with PP, you better believe that snowball will increase in speed, size, and velocity tenfold with that rat in charge.

EDJ has hundreds of contractors working in India. A large potion of operations is now being done by Delloite and Cognizant. Associates in my department are currently training their Indian replacements before they are let go in October. That is where the India talk is coming from.

@ay if that’s the case the confusion is about him acquiring the firm. He’s not Elon Musk. This thread is illogical.

Did you seriously post an 11 year old article? And with a condescending attitude no less? LOL.

Geniuses like you are why this company is getting reimagined.

This is the second time I’ve seen India mentioned. Where is this coming from? Not saying I have any grounds to disagree, but…what do you know?
