@cy if i can make it one more year i will be waiting for “the call” actually i think i will decline and respond “please send package for review” seriously what condescending bull do i have to listen to. It is painful enough while an active employee. After that they are renting my time and there is nothing of value to come out of a discussion.

When I was displaced only 16% were under 40. The majority were 50 and over.

They do not want people with tenure. Too expensive with them Tied to old bonus plans and ways. Cost of severance outweighs the cost of having you lumps sitting around 9 months unproductive waiting to get your bonus check so you can build a retirement deck off your back porch or go on an Alaskan cruise.

@a4 The laid off colleagues ages were provided with separation documents when I was displaced in late June and 90% were over 40 and 75% over 50… it’s not even speculation, it’s real.

It’s like salt and pepper, mostly salt though with a few pepper to throw them off the scent. Also, mostly 50+ with a few youngins to again make it all look legit while India offices ramp up.
