Getting support has been rather difficult lately. Any techies willing to share inside info on what’s happening?

Japan is decimating IT
Approximately 75% of Level 2 End User Support (EUS) positions have been eliminated and moved to India. Be prepared for issues with competence, language barriers, and a level of frustration you never imagined.
Offshore IT...yeah no Security risks reported there(insert sarcasm). Do not let friends or family visit any Humana affiliated clinic. Your PHI data is likely at risk by offshores.
My IT contact told me before he was RIFed that more than half of the 2nd level support team had been laid off and were being replaced with offshore contractors just like CSS. He said the department was being restructured but it hadn't happened before his final day.
Depends on what you mean by tech support? If you mean CSS then that has been largely offshore for years at this point.
Local end user support teams have been outsourced
