HR is hitting on all cylinders these days. The level of professionalism displayed by HR should be imitated by the rest of the company. What an amazing group to be able to watch in action!

HR is the most incompetent group of people in the company. Email them a question and they can’t give you a straight answer if they ever reply back at all. Plus they break their own protocols of confidentiality.
How much oil have they found?
Likely a facetious comment by the thread starter. We used to call HR the “erratum est” group. Making mistakes and errors seem to be in their GO-400s. I used to have a folder in my inbox purely dedicated to HR announcements that were sent and then either recalled or a correction e-mail sent later (sometimes within the span of a few minutes). Seems to be focused on administrative and procedural stuff. HR should also be working on organizational design, organizational capability etc. but that has since been transferred to the business leaving HR as essentially a service center organization with very little strategic thinking involved.
Lol that’s hilarious. I still have a tape of Matt jones apologizing to me.
This thread is the most obvious example of “bot” vote downs in layoff.com history. Elon has nothing on the ego of RM. HR is HR. The group with her it’s like laughing at a knock knock joke, or winning at game of war in cards. Such a joke that it’s like Kleenex as a brand. The vote downs on this will be epic.
Personally, I've been in contact with Stockholm to establish a Nobel Prize for HR, with RM as the first recipient. Nobel prizes are awarded to "those who, during the preceding year, have conferred the greatest benefit to humankind." I can't think of any better way of describing Chevron HR.
Human Remains
What a joke. I will never forget I had my 15 year service award and working for Chevron in Europe. I got to invite 2 couples to join me and my gm for dinner for the celebration. We had a wonderful night. The next week Chevron flew my team to London and laid us all off including myself
It's been a running joke in Chevron for decades that HR would have to "get back with you" to let you know how much vacation time you're entitled to. Basically useless, but they (and Finance) do up the diversity numbers.
Is RM working on her satire or is it just pure sarcasm???
And there was I thinking "Satire" was a lost art form!
“Most most professional”, because their folks have the bestest goodlyist grammar.
Agreed HR are good like most orgs in our company. Finally someone gives credit and some positive feedback rather than the small minority that post negative BS about the company. I like seeing more positivity on this site as it reflects 95% of the Chevron employees I interact with.
I assume you are joking. When I retired recently I found them to be just about useless in explaining the process.
Lol whatever you say RM
Thank you. I work in HR and I am very proud to lead Chevron by example.
