Toxic Incompetent Managers in Uncon Permian

how can this be tolerated? the level of toxicity? people cry and breakdown almost everyday. managers threaten and abuse. managers threaten based on PA outcome and career potential. who have allowed such non human people to be managers? and this is second line management. first line is still understandable to mess up, but second line management?

toxic and shameful. you know who you are. the ones that make people work crazy hours because of own incompetence to comprehend data. ypu filthy pieces of sh-t.

I am in operations and the amount of friction between us and global projects is at an all time high. We used to have some key players at manager level who were good at finding some common ground and also understanding our needs. They would be out in the field late at night during startups shoulder to shoulder with us. They were transferred out though and now we have a bunch of hipo types managing upwards in Houston with no desire to stay long term. Sadly whenever we get a good one it seems the company transfers them out even if they want to stay. The sh-t show continues.

watching upper management toss out people with 13 and more years of experience just to make numbers look good for NI / NSI it’s crazy. I thought we were past this, but I was wrong. The short-term mindset is going to bite them hard in XTO.

Firstly they should be called supervisors. Second, worst is the DS(LGBT)QA managers and the BPaSS. They are the worst and don’t know what they do all day. Let’s not forget that the people working are even worse, they have no skills other than drawing type curves or replacing artificial lift pumps. It’s a jungle

Assessing people in a forced ranking system can’t be easy. Especially in a competitive population. But let’s trash them on an anonymous board and talk about how THEY are the ones with character flaws. That is the right path forward.
