Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

MORE RTO stuff...

Had a team meeting the other day with senior, senior leader. He advised that they will not be getting 'individual' RTO reporting. They do NOT take into account PTO, holidays, etc...just shows if you were in the office any during a specified timeframe. Manager keeps pushing that it HAS to be 3-days a week...but senior senior leader said 'one is fine'. Just as long as don't appear on the report for not having gone in at all in a week.
My question to everyone...how can this work? It's so rigid. If you're on PTO and they aren't counting PTO then you'd show up in the report. It's such a gigantic CLUSTER! What's the point. I was on a TEAMs call the other day and a lady had her camera on and she was in a cube farm but the only person for the entire area on the floor as far as we could see. Most places are like that. It's just a poorly thought out (or not thought out - as the case may be) plan. Just sell the buildings or give up leases. The bank could save so much money...but instead they are stressing good people out for having to worry about all this - in the highest inflation time in the last 40 years I might add!

I live that we are paying people to write and distribute these reports. I’ll remember this if/when I get my 2% for going into the office.

Yes, I think both locations should show up, but for some reason they did not. Only the time I was logged in remotely counted.

That leads me to believe that either (a) my IP was logged once that day and I just happened to be remote at that time or (b) both IPs were logged, but the last entry of the day overwrote the others.

Regardless, and as sad as this sounds, I have started taking photos of myself at my desk with the date visible on my computer screen as proof of time spent in the office.

After seeing the reporting for september and october, and that there were pretty gross errors in my in-office count for september, like others on this thread I have started to keep a documentation trail of when I am in office. (Just like the hostage videos where they have the hostage hold up a copy of the day's newspaper - a fitting analogy)

Manager in CSBB here and the reporting absolutely is down to the individual person level, and does count PTO.

The comment about "at least once per week" was probably in reference to the fact that the reporting is on a four week interval and calculates an average # of days per week over the 4 weeks. If that number is less than one, it's flagged. The specific individuals and percentage for managers of <1 per week are being watched carefully for trends, and leaders are expected to address those directly with individual staff to get them to cure.

That is concerning… wouldn’t the report show that you were logged in from both office and home that day and give credit for office?

Making employees miserable is the primary objective of RTO, and I must say it's highly effective. I'm pi---d off every second I'm on site for no reason other than to check a box in some stupid report. That's all going in does when there's no one on your team there. My collaboration is 100% online and was long before COVID. I was a top performer. Now my rating will probably be less because of a report that has NOTHING to do with production or performance. FRTO and the NYC id--t it rode in on.

I'm in the same business line as some others here and have seen the reporting. It absolutely does factor in PTO and holidays. Employee adherence is bucketed into a few tiers, and is now tied back to IP rather than badge swipe.

For those worker bees like me who often log in from home before or after your commute to check a few things, I recommend keeping a record and/or visual evidence of your days in the office if attendance becomes a point of contention. I've been tagged as WFH a few times after spending the day in the office and then reconnecting at home to check for an expected email.

@1dnz+1jx9Gtvj Agreed with all this, I’ve seen it.

All CIB bottom line managers seem to get reports with individual names, and some even forward on to their teams. Have also heard bonuses will be impacted for those that consistently do not hit 3 days a week.

3 months ago the only people that got in trouble are people that never came in at all. How d-mb do you have to be. We have to provide a rationale for each person up through to the SEVP

Dir. writing - I get the reporting and this is wrong. PTO and holidays are factored in. This is a performance issue for CIB, at least in our business. 100 percent. Obviously, other BGs/EFs might be different.

while pto days count, holidays don't because holidays are just given and not requested in workday, no specific line item.

its 1 day a week or more, or you end up in the wrong category. even EVPs dont have individual reporting but its likely that if folks show up consistently in the <1d/wk bucket they'll be found out. Unclear whether its badge swipes or IP address/office wifi driven reporting

Your senior manager is wrong. Reporting does include PTO and holidays.

saul was pretty clear that if you are on an agile team you only have to come in when the team decides to come in for a specific meeting

It's different for every group. WIM includes PTO days. Most of the time nobody cares unless you aren't coming in at all. Since you probably aren't using 22 PTO days in a month, it shouldn't matter. Just do enough s to stay off the radar.

Define senior, senior manager....what level in org said this?
Im hearing 3 days....reporting is starting again. Dont be on the list or management will have to email you to obtain aome bogus rationale to send up the chain to make it seem like they took action. Scary stuff
