I've been hearing that individuals have already had interviews for a possible position or have been told of their new position in the re-org already (PSG 25 and down)
If you're in this psg, have you heard anything?

They’re doing the selections for 8000 positions next week. Notifications come after that.
It’s also not THE office. Word it for real here or don’t come here looking for info!
There's a nice way to word things but this also isn't a therapist's office.
Have some compassion , if you have been fortunate enough to get some reassurance. Im sure most people have not. There’s more helpful ways to word things… like just for your information..quite a few people are hearing behind the scenes from job owners or selection reps some not-so-subtle indications of if they have a position. If you haven’t heard, it doesn’t necessarily mean you’re not getting one, it may be that your manager is very by the book…either way it’s best to mentally prepare for an unfavorable outcome and dont sit and wallow , start taking actual proactive steps.
If you were to give advice to a friend at another company in this same situation about what they should do… Do that, don’t waste any more time.
If no one is talking to you about future state or strategy, you’re probably done for.

Yeah I know some “chosen ones” (very well) and they have been told not to worry and which jobs to apply for.
@bp you’re absolutely right, some people don’t want to face the reality that the subtle nods are their way of giving you the “acceptance”. I sat right next to someone asking a job owner/boss what to apply for. The boss said, just apply for what makes sense for you. A day later I hear the exact same person tell another employee the specific job to apply for. They are keeping who is important. Every human life is important, just not to Chevron.
@bn there have definitely been things said to me by particular people in charge that haven't been said to others by those same people. For whatever that's worth.

Everyone who is important already knows the job they were selected for, job owner already reached out to some of us and told us we’re good. Selection reps already telling us not to worry. I would say this, if you have been out of the loop of the real percentage of cuts in your dept, then it’s likely you’re not part of the future plan. If you knew the size of the cuts, you were part of the plan because you were asked these questions about 6-8 months ago.
Only people with false hope are those that don’t understand the system.
Some people have been steered towards jobs to fit the business needs
If you’ve been told you have a position when it is technically still in the process of selection….do you really even want to work for a Company that would give people false-hope while going through the charade of a hiring selection? If that is the case, that is messed up!
I've heard mine. I have the position I wanted.
The only people who already know their future are the ones who were out of scope and put into closed positions. They knew before the application tool opened up. There weren’t many from what I understand.
Short lists are due very soon…
But they are confidential and purely indicative, nothing will be finalized until the 13, and then formal outcome notifications are expected for the 16-19th.
Meetings aren’t until next so I’d be shocked unless those individuals posted on a very weak slate. Me personally in the same exercise and have not heard anything one way or another.
