Laid off after 23 years...in Technology
Feel sorry for those who got let go and didn’t want to leave. I’ve been here for several decades, and every year I keep thinking they’re going to lay me off, but I’m still here year after year. I’m guessing if I made a lateral move to HL that would better my odds. Unfortunately, I’m paid far too much for the little work that I do in a very critical area. I’m wondering if you hit a certain duration threshold, are you not considered for lay off because it cost too much?
Me and another tm got laid off today, in risk mgmt for home lending. they told us our jobs were fine a month ago when ppl were worried with all the offshoring going on. But now they let us go for budget cuts, 7.5 and almost 10 years of service for us.
$10k for outside referral new hire but laying people off make it make sense

Was it Agency or Non Agency underwriters that were impacted?

Don't disagree there have been layoff's under Saul, but not 30,000.
@fxh quite a few team members laid off under Saul.....today tech PMs
last month it was tech engineers.

The House bill underway in committee makes it clear what access is and it's not the assumed ok VDI solution.
They use a VDI to access data that is located in the US
And all data resides in the US
I think they have this covered

Don't be stupid. If you have actual information about a layoff, post it. A 12% cut on a single day would be massive news and work would stop across the organization.
