Fake news. DF has been wanting to reduce for a long time now but every project, program, policy, remediation, etc that the frontline tries to do with secondline engagement, just proves how necessary they are to success. We can’t dig out of the holes we’ve created without all of the right folks at the table. Period.
I’ve worked with ORBOs for years now and only two of them were competent. The rest needed their hands held throughout the entire review. Many were senior officers so that’s even worse.
OP Risk people have nothing to do and are running out of excuses to justify their existence. My ORBOs are a toady bunch with fawning voices and sugary smiles. They have no clue about how the business works let alone the risks we face. All they do is push paper and su-k dollars.
Why are people surprised. WF went on a hiring spree when the economy and the consent orders were roaring. Now the economy has slowed and the consent orders are easing, and the fantasy that the controls that were put in place will forever prevent a repeat. There is no need for folks. TK is going to eliminate jobs with her elegant GenAI, where the intelligence will be as flawed as her own intelligence. Folks get used to it.
Risk is a fake department
DF did a road show of in person town halls this week, MN, IA, AZ 4-5pm local time.
It is not fake news - it was a town hall held in West Des Moines on May 7. I was there as well - it was a 15% reduction.
I’ve been waiting for that department to reorg for many months now. So much waste.
For instance - when I need to do an assessment I have to have another team fill out the template by pulling data straight from SHRP. I could do this myself in 15 minutes.
What is ops risk
just 15%?
When is bug bottom DF going to “retire”?
DF hates town halls and is a terrible communicator
don't recall their being a recent DF town hall.
If true, a weak start. Come on DF, you can do better
Would be great! Let’s replace with revenue generating people. Someone’s gotta pay the bills around this place for these freeloaders.
fake news. don't feed the troll.
