Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

STL Office

Anyone know the future of the St Louis office? They've consolidated buildings and there's barely any jobs posted....I assume that isn't good. Would appreciate any insight.

WFA are displacing people every two weeks. They are moving operations to India because it is so much more cheaper for them. I personally want to thank them for turning their backs on their country and giving our jobs to other countries. They su-k!!!!!

STl is no longer a hub for IT, they removed it about a year an a half ago. IT job postings stopped for STL about 2 years ago. I was laid off last month and location was cited as reason.

You are full of misinformation.

The buildings are already demolished for the hotel (2nd hotel has been delayed). The C building was never sold off...yet.

Also, not trying to downplay the recent mugging, but their has been a history of crime for over 15 years around the area.

Lastly, what do you mean done nothing? They have security guards every 10 feet now.

Demolition of the next old junky building starts soon to make room for 2 new hotels. If you are in St. Louis at Wells Fargo better find something else. To show you how much WF does Not care about the St. Louis, mo campus? Multiple people have been as--ulted and or mugged or violated in the Wells Fargo Parking lots over the past 2 months ! The company has done NOTHING! Let that sink in!

Not just WIM in a hiring freeze, but a number of LOBs. Talk was that it might be lifted by the end of Q2. But that was before the tariffs and uncertainty.

The St. Louis area has the largest collection of brokerage related employees outside NYC.

It is also home to the St. Louis Federal Reserve which is the Federal Reserve site that supervises banks and bank holding companies and bank M&As.

They may continue trim employees that aren’t in an LOB that has the site as a core market. But the WFA HQ isn’t going away.

It's a core city for a few groups. Not going anywhere

STL isn't going anywhere for quite some time, no need to stress. Not sure about other orgs, but WIM is in a little bit of a hiring freeze. Compliance, supervision and control jobs seem to open up the most.
