Thread regarding U.S. Bank layoffs

Will the C-suite be leading by example?

Will they be returning to the office 3 days a week instead of working from their home office in their mansions? I mean they do make 10x what the average worker makes so I’m sure they would mind leading by example.

U.S. Bank's parent entity announced another CFPB investigation in their latest SEC filing and yes, it is in the payments business line, something about the prepaid cards for unemployment benefits during the pandemic. Just resolved a CFPB inquiry regarding cards not authorized by their owners and now this new investigation, it all comes down to leadership, even if nobody is in the office.

Andy's total annual compensation was close to $20 million in 2021, with an estimated ratio of 225:1 when compared with the median employee pay of $85,000 - (https://www1.salary.com/U-S-BANCORP-Executive-Salaries.html). Even if he were to lead by example and spend 3 days a week in the office, he wouldn't have anywhere close to a typical employee's experience with that kind of money.

To reply referencing “communist army”, friend this is as capitalistic as it can get.. but completely agree that it’s disgusting and slimy how they’re willing to put people in harm’s way simply to exert their control over us. Not because it’s more efficient, productive or profitable - they don’t give a sh-t that everyone’s better off this way. They told the government they wouldn’t lay people off in order to get the merger to go through so this is how they’re going to “cull the herd”. Atrocious.

When 3 of the 4 leaders espousing the benefits and value to the company of returning to the office are actually speaking to employee leadership from their remote work environments, the intolerable double standard is laid bare for all to see, live and in living color. Often times the message is measured against the messenger laboring to share their experiences, but when the value of in office is presented by the remotes, the message received is worse than having not been delivered at all.

C-Suite are now planning meetings to incentivize and promote their managers so they can influence and push this back to office garbage on their behalf. Meaning they are recruiting managers to be part of their slimy communist army.

Bingo! None of them are going in even one day a week. Most of C-suite have relocated and work from the comfort of their homes in Arizona. That karma is going to bite them hard.
