Thread regarding Chevron Corp. layoffs

Solidarity and Evolution

Dear Valued Chevron Team,

First, let me extend my heartfelt thanks to each of you for your tireless commitment and unwavering dedication. Your contributions keep the wheels turning—both literally and figuratively—and for that, we are immensely grateful.

As we continue our journey together, our steadfast focus remains on adding value for our shareholders while empowering employees to explore fresh opportunities outside these walls. Change is growth, as they say, or at least that’s what the consultants told us.

Out of solidarity with these exciting changes, we in the executive team have decided to make our own sacrifices. We are waving goodbye to our second box suite at Reliant Stadium—tailgating from just one suite will help us bond more deeply. In a move toward practicality, we've downsized to a private jet without a butler, finding that self-service builds character. And finally, to truly embrace humility, we've opted for moderately luxurious suites during our retreat to the Dominican Republic—because hey, who needs oceanfront views when you're reshaping lives?

We appreciate your continued hard work as we navigate these transformative times together. As they say, teamwork makes the shareholders’ dreams work.

Warm regards,
Your Executive Team
