Are they still doing this? I was hoping to get one at my review and was disappointed.

I received one for 100K but I have to stay three more years. Not worth it...
After I finished my executive mba they gave me 100k worth of stocks which I could cash after staking 3 years (vested shares).

Your retention bonuses is your joke of a pay raise.
I am a Veteran and deserve a bonus.
The only retention bonuses that I've heard given out were to employees who had given notice to leave. A couple of them stayed for a brief while and then resigned anyway.
