Thread regarding Sam's Club layoffs

Can management deny PPTO (not PTO)?

I know this has been asked before but it keeps happening to people & I’m just wondering if we’re not understanding.

Can management deny PPTO??? Not PTO.

I’m talking like you call in sick one morning & use ppto & it gets denied?!?!

I thought the system automatically approved it!

You have to make sure that you are using the exact hours you missed on your scheduled shift for the point to be removed by the system for PPTO. I have seen a few time where the system glitches. Always go to your manager to show where your PPTO was used, they can remove points. And btw a manager can remove your PPTO, PTO, Sick in GTA Timesheet. Not even many managers are aware of this but they better have a good reason. Open Door first and if you know they did something unethical with your time report to ethics.

If you’re putting it in after you called off, the system will automatically approve it. If you’re putting it in for a future date, than unfortunately yes.

I thought it was approved thru the system. If you have enough to cover your whole shift.

This will be my last post, as I have left Sam's Club. Before I go, may I offer a piece of advice. If you are ever in a situation where you need to contact ethics, I say go to the CM's boss instead. I did so prior to leaving and currently a full investigation of what I shared is taking place. Also, once I sent my email, others reached out to me to say that because I had the courage to report all the wrongdoings I went through, they now felt safe to do the same. What I am trying to say is don't hesitate to make the first move.

No...if you call out, simply go on the app, put your ppto hours in and it will automatically delete the point for calling out.

As long as you have enough ppto to cover the shift it should not be denied. But if you had an 8 hour shift and you only have 3 hours of ppto left then yes.
