Don't make a judgement of a person based on a 30-minute Teams call.

If you remember Pi---l Pearce seemed like a pretty cool guy at first, too. Until he wasn't.

It doesn't take long for these tigers to show their stripes.

Not saying this is the case with new CMO. Just be cautious and don't get caught up in the hype. Things are never as they initially seem.

Take some vacation days, do not purchase anything for your teams, do not fight with other departments. Stay low to the ground like summertime ants. Anything else is 'asking for it.'

Confirming that house cleaning will be in the plan. Marketing leaders best be watching out as they are most vulnerable. The foot soldiers, less so.

That's what happens whenever new CMO comes in. They'll bring their own people, drag everything out with numerous rebrands until their time is up.
