2nd generation "former" Honeywell employee. I can tell you all , getting laid off by Honeywell was the best thing that ever happened to me. I spent 17 years of my life working for that company. For what??? At the end of the day, I missed so much time with my family. Mandatory 60 hours a week working myself to death for penny's come raise time. Sure, do I miss my colleagues? Yes. Did I get experience in the Aerospace industry? Yes. But at the end of the day we are all here for a short period of time. Don't spend another second at that place if you are miserable. Take your experience and move on to better things. I can tell you all I would have left on year 5 knowing what I know now. If you think sticking around or holding out for " more week of vacation " is going to make your life better, don't fool yourself. God bless all of you. There is light at the end of the tunnel.

I'm a veteran and they cant lay me off
Good for you. When they lay off. It will force you out, and when you weren't willing to do it yourself. They'll do it for you.
Then you'll be like this guy. Happy. Unless you're one of those persons that likes working Monday from Sunday. 12 hours to 16 hours a day. You can work holidays too.
The miserable people. They're the ones that won't be able to work bunging through Sunday and holidays. They'll have to try to find a job that meets what Honeywell has. Since they never left, there probably is no other place like this.
Steal and sell any IP you can. Convert to BTC. Leave the country. Trump is ruining it on purpose!
