This company has made many acquisitions, most of which, in my opinion, are failures. I'm curious, what do you think are the biggest of all failures?

I think the worst acquisition was Mad Dog.
What about that Xuper face mask collaboration?
It depends what you consider failure. From HW perspective, post acquisition, everything is done to push the new product to high margins... First price markups, rebranding with HW name, which does provide larger market visibility, strong push through sales organizations, thus money start coming in... But with such strategy and no investment and innovation, and yearly increase requirements for operational income/margin (from product sales) the money starts to dry up... So the next logical step is to cut cost and etc... Therefore slow death of a product line. Reduced headcount of knowledge pool, year over year, quality goes down, and etc....
How do I know, I am closely tied to several product lines that used to bring in excess of $50M per year during first years of acquisition..... Now... We can barely sustain reaching $10M per year.... And the technology is old by now.... Some designs are 25+ years old...
What about the Com Dev in Cambridge, where most were dumped since Honeywell took over?
Depends upon whom the failure is thrust.
The worst buys for Honeywell? Who cares. Honeywell can rot.
The worst buy for the company Honeywell bought? Probably every company. UOP used to be a dream workplace - mutual respect, fairness, multiple family generations working for same company effectively, seriously long term (40+ year) employees contributing, incredible benefits, pensions etc. Then Honeywell swoops in like the devil and screws UOP
Not having enough barriers. If they expect me to meet Rev Cogs, they need to put more barriers to execution up.
: @ine+1jnDqbbf. So very true on that like what they are doing to UOP
Honeywell actually acquires many good companies, they unfortunately mismanage them and run them into the ground. So sad.
Honeywell (by Allied Signal), lol
