Anyone saying yes to the Survey of interesr? If so, are you eligible for unemployment if accepted?

It’s not an offer. Read the last line - if you don’t respond you will default to no and you are NOT interested in being INVOLUNTARILY terminated with eligibility for severance benefits.

Are they saying if you say no, and are impacted no severance?

Never take a voluntary offer. Make them surplus you so you. Don't make it that easy for T to reduce headcount.

So they basically just asked everyone who was interested in leaving?

An offer is a FedEx delivery about an inch and a half thick with all your rights, health care and all other pertinent information should you decide to accept. Mine got delivered to my home around 5 years ago, but I never accepted the offer. It was nothing more than what the contract offers, nothing more or enhanced.

It is not an MVO. It is a Survey of Interest. Under an MVO they must accept you but not under a survey of interest. They are allowing people to get out before new rates for pension hit so they can see what they need to lay off in 1Q2023. You get standard severance of 6 mo max either way. Good luck!

Do you really consider this an “offer”? They’re simply asking for volunteers to leave. You’re already entitled to severance if you’re laid off. This isn’t some generous “offer”.

Yes, Management. Those accepting will also be eligible for 6 months medical coverage, severance, and can file for unemployment. Sweet deal for those folks! Wonder how many will hit the door?
