Thread regarding UnitedHealth Group Inc. layoffs

Merit & RRP Bonus

Starting a thread to discuss merit and bonuses now that annual reviews are occurring.

I received a 4 rating with a 1% merit increase and 100% RRP bonus. Happy with the bonus, unhappy with the merit increase which does not keep up with COL and inflation.

does that mean they will stop doing yearly reviews, if they essentially mean nothing now, it could be seen as a reduction in pay as they are not meeting inflation at least...

@OP glad you were happy with the RPR. Notification today, they are going away.

this company fu--ing su-ks. it sc--ws its employees and members equally. yet it has over a billion dollars to invest in "housing" and hundreds of millions to invest in "diversifying the healthcare workforce" with dei scholarships. how are those connected to its insurance business? how are they in alignment with its fiduciary duties to its shareholders? why doesn't it use that money to decrease premiums and increase access to care or use it to help their own employees by offering cost of living adjustments?

I’ve been at the company 2 years. My starting pay was terrible. The “pay raise” is terrible. My real income is going backwards. I’m already looking for a new job. I’ve never worked for such a poorly managed company.

Layoffs. Poor raises. Lower RPR. Tension over job security. Morale su-ks. Been at UHC 10 years. Every review I’m a solid 5. I am paid well but work my rear off for the company, always work overtime (salaried) and make it a mission to do my absolute best. UHC will lose quality people. Complete lack of transparency from upper leadership and the board of directors. I’m exhausted. My morale in the toilet. I will, because of the snowball effect of it all … find something else to do with another company. I don’t believe our area will be impacted as we are posting several positions. Go figure right? Complete mismanagement from the top. Stephanie called big meeting to say yes we let go 3000 people and trying to be transparent several months back. Oh Stephanie Hoover - where is that transparency now? Lose the best employees and then pick up the pieces. My heart aches for so many people. Witty and the Board need to wake up. Sadly, starting my job search.

It’s high mid range considering I’ve been in-role Sg 30 for the better part of a decade.

You're base is pretty high for a sg30.

1% merit 90% RRP (of the 75% out of 100% funded this year) $25k, grade 30. $30k equity award. Ok with RRP, disappointed in two consecutive years of next to no merit.

Andrew Witty got an 11% raise last year. This year is still TBD. Just remember that during your comp discussions.

I got no raise at all. So be happy with that 1%.

I haven't had mine yet, but honestly just happy to have a job still. Anything else is just extra. I hate to think that way but I feel it's the situation we're in.

Maybe I'll feel differently when I see my .50 raise?

The “pool” for merit increases was very small this year. Most (even 4’s) are getting 1%.

Everyone I know was a 3 and given 1% (about 50 cents)

How are the rrp percentages figured? Thats not of your annual salary is it? Grade 27 here and my bonus was maybe 2% of annual salary

1 - 2.5% for a rating if 4-5 has been pretty standard the last 5-10 years. They couldn’t care less about inflation or cost of living.

1% as well. RRP 59% - disappointed in both.
