Actually, it's not surprising since they use a formula that is published. I was really surprised too but after the earnings call and before the announcement, I asked ChatGPT based on that and all relative data for our peers what was the most likely cip rating and ChatGPT said 1.1

This really surprised me, especially in context with the mostly-yellow scorecard. Feels like they are buttering us up.

Is the bonus 7.5% or 8%? I’ve looked on HR site and have seen both.

I heard structure was 2%. Reported US inflation is 3%, but home insurance in places most CVX employees live is up 20+%.

Merit raises are down barely cost of living. Be happy we have a bonus.

Will there be surprise on structure raise as well.. ? My guess yes, Chevron is trying to keep people happy whoever will stay. If you want to 32k people do job of 45k.. you cannot keep them disappointed.

Pleased about 1.1, but likely structure is going to be lower to avoid year on year compounded increases going forward . From a cost perspective I understand we need to keep labor : open in check, but it is unfortunate general inflation is sinking my personal budget.

Does anyone know how to view one’s CIP payout history in Workday? I could swear I stumbled across that at one point but cannot find it now. Thank you.

The brain trust on this board was chirping about 0.75-0.90. Y'all don't know bupkis.

Pleasantly surprised this year, but it is the least he could do. In pre-MW years our CIP would have been higher. Shell is getting a 1.6 CIP and 3% structure raise, and we beat them in TSR.

@a9,
Exactly. Laying the ground for bad news coming on the 12th. News we haven’t seen coming.

Surprised but not the highest or lowest I've seen in the last 18 years. Lowest was .75 and highest was 1.5

Where are all the people that swore it would be .5 or .7?

To be honest I'm surprised too - I thought it would be .95 again

Not really, Seeing layoffs on horizon, Chevron won't want people they want to keep gone as well. This was needed to keep moral high.
