Let’s not forget that DEI (is intended to) also provide a fair work environment for women, the disabled, differing religions ages and socioeconomic statuses.

Pro DEI doesn’t mean anti-merit. If merit is hiring the white frat boy who only went to college because daddy gave a big donation to the school, that doesn’t count. Trust me from those that have to work with Junior - his work effort and results reflect his “merit.” Merit is the person who was a first generation college student who busted their butt to get in, stay in, pay for it and works hard everyday to show their “merit.” I’m tired of the white boys whining that someone else may get something they’ve been handed for generations. Get over it!

@ad+1jj9zg7td I think you’ve been out of touch with how DEI is working in reality. What you described sounds wonderful. Fact is, wf and others rigged the applicant pool and forced hires to meet quotas or said differently, discriminated against white males to hire others , which were often less qualified, again , to meet a quota and carry the water of the woke era that just died on 11/5/24

He did not give DEI a vote of confidence. He said we want to serve all of the U.S. , highlighting Hispanic. That’s always been the case, not new or DEI. Then as it relates to internal. He clearly said we want the best here. He did not say a word about trying to fill positions with certain races just because a certain demographic is lower than another. He said we want the best people, which means merit.

How could anyone listen to what he said and hear DEI got a vote of confidence. It did not.
