Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

No more room in the office

We are starting to see the impact of not having enough office space for RTO. Wondering if there is any chatter to fix that in New York. I’m only allowed to sit on my floor on a certain side. If they do return to 5 days, what are we going to do? Sit on each other’s laps?

I hate RTO as much as the next person, but there are hundreds if not more open seats at CIC. There are vast sections of the bldg that are still largely unoccupied.

haha, I wish that would happen to me. "Wow, you're right, sorry about that. I'll move right away". Then I'd get in my car and go home to do actual work.

Yes someone enforces where I sit. There are people on the floor literally walking around introducing themselves to people that they’ve never seen before. They will ask them what department they are working in and kick them out if they aren’t part of the department assigned to the floor.

Does someone enforce where you sit? I sit in 3-4 different buildings. I think someone said something to me once.

Charlie will continue to ship our jobs to India until we will have enough room in the US offices. Why can't you see this?

WF will lay off thousands more to accommodate the limited office space. Some people are too slow to understand this and still keep saying there is not enough room. Sigh.

Don't worry about it until you need to

When RTO first started a coworker had to sit on the floor. There were literally not enough chairs in the building

Don't care, OP. Your in NY. NY'ers are supposed to know it all, right?
Really, asking annon strangers on the internet "what if" questions and nobody will have an answer.
Why don't you try and squeeze some gray matter and find out from your site? I know it's hard, being from NY and all......

I doubt anybody will say anything if you go to a different floor, or different area on your floor. But I've noticed as well that parking lot is full and that floor is pretty full if you don't get in early. But by like 2-3p the floor becomes a ghost town.

could be very location specific but most of the offices in my region are only half full on the busiest of days even after consolidations. I also don't see us going to 5 days in office, 4 at most, kind of like it was before COVID for many only now they track us.
