Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

Don't kid yourselves!

People, don't be so delusional! This company has existed for well over a century, many, many years before you worked here and will continue to exist long after you're gone! NOBODY is indispensable no matter what your job function is within the ranks! The work will get done one way or another, just not by you or anybody else that leaves with their irreplaceable knowledge! Don't kid yourselves!

If you don't realize @leh+1jiMp585 is right, you're just fooling yourself.

For the many that do not know, company has to actually lose money to declare bankruptcy.

The at&t name is worth more than the company. If T ever goes bankrupt, someone will buy the naming rights and keep the name going.

Tandy corporation was also around for a hundred years. The Tandy 1000 home computer was the iPhone of its day and they had a huge network of retail stores under the RadioShack brand. Wonder how they are doing now?

At&t can buy their way out of anything. Got a network issue, call out any SME on retainer, problem solved! Nobody puts T in the corner.

This is obvious , any corporation the size of T makes virtually anyone expendable, its just a JOB, that it for what it is, you do some work, you get some pay.. .. don't read more into it, most folks here understand the game, and if you gamify this job, you're doing it right, because you sure as heck can be leadership is gamifying your employment.
