Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

The Company will either make me an offer that I can’t refuse or I will continue collecting a fat paycheck

fat paycheck ($125,000 already and counting) for doing nothing all day. I’ve got 37 years. Kiss my azz.

Agree. This company will cut where they shouldn’t and leave the ones doing little to no work. Some will work 2-3 jobs a day and still will make over 150k this year outside. It’s a blank check.

Same here. Could retire but I work from home and still have so little work, even though I have asked for more. Once I stopped asking for more, my ratings increased as my work output decreased. AT&T has people that are working way too much, and others, like me, that have little work to do. Comes down to really bad management. So having worked my bu-t off for many years, being one of those with too much to do, I will coast to retirement and milk the company.

wonder what all these offers everyone is waiting to get actually end up being after taxes. what a life just hang around to get an offer. not a way to live. and we wonder why att is in the shape it is in.

If they want to reduce headcount by the thousands. 5/5 is the best way for us to leave. Where do we sign

The southeast had a targeted offer in 2020 for bargained techs. No added years to service but a severance of 50k along with their SIPP based on years of service. Know some walked away with 90k.

I would disagree with postings regarding no offers anymore. I know offers have been out there for specific groups in the last few years. What won't be happening is blanket offers to 1000's to leave at once. Because offers are more precise, most folks don't find out about them.

You'll have to work for your paycheck because an offer is just not coming, plain and simple! This site is nothing more than speculation, conjecture and wishful thinking! The days of a retirement offer are just not what T does anymore! The last one I actually did receive was in Sept, 2017.

If you would have gone into management, you could have made that or more will sitting at home and not have had to work all that overtime!

I agree. 34 year vet. Network Technical Specialist Legacy T. I’ll take that 5/5/$5k offer. Otherwise I’ll milk this Stinkey cow dry. BTW…I’m clocking in @ $132k with 4 weeks to go. Life is good!
