Thread regarding Honeywell International Inc. layoffs

I've had enough

I don't know how they imagine that my division would continue to function after so many people were laid off. Their plan is to "reward" those who weren't cut with even more work?
If someone had told me a few years ago that this would become such a horrible place, I wouldn't have believed it.

@4vrb+1jXic5LI Of course they ruined HGAS. HoneyH€ll ruins everything always. Just look at AERO and now SPS. It’s what they do.

SST, Sensors and sensing technology I think. An newly formed attempt to amalgamate businesses with Sensors and HGAS being the mainstay, I hear they have trashed HGAS already.

@3ilo+1jXic5LI HoneyH€ll doesn’t want to have to manage any budgets. For anything. Projects, products, or people. Hence the constant layoffs and furloughs.

I have already heard Q1 rumblings here in SPS about furloughs required to prop the stock up.

Just brutal. Can’t wait for my RIF.

Truly astonishing how poorly managed Honeywell is. Utterly astonishing.

How can there be constant, CONSTANT, talk of furloughs and layoffs.

This is not normal for a company. It’s absurd.

How can anyone invest in this company? How can any large institution invest in it? If a company can’t manage their budget year in year out without furloughs used as a tool…

This has to be the most mismanaged company in the planet.

SST is an unmitigated disaster. The look I recieved from the leadership team when I stated that we simply need to invest in R&D told me all I needed to know. It is either currently being stripped and packaged ready for divestment or it is yet another monumental clown show.

I love how the CH reception constantly complain how none of the technology works, lmfao.

@1vpi+1jXic5LI CH is HON Corp. HQ. Not SPS. It will sit empty in its technological glory for years to come!

C'mon man, stick around. You got that 2.3% raise coming in March. Your boss needs you and his/her MIP is contingent on they/them not screwing up to bad. Think of all the new intangibles they have dreamed up to "engage the employee". There are those silly contests (did you decorate your cube for Halloween?). There is the Bravo system (budget cut but hey we still have it), your benefits haven't been cut that you are aware of, you've since forgotten the old dollar for dollar 401(k) match, they aren't sticking swabs up your nose anymore to come into work, you got those 2023 goals due in HPD soon.

So what's their plan for SPS and Charlotte office. The SST integration I heard was a mess.

Despite it all, here we are still reminiscing about the good ole' days and how leaders of the past trumps the present.
Well, you may definitely choose to be or not be as an employee of Honeywell. If choose to be, just suck it up and take in the abuse and pleasure where it may come. Thats what it means by earning your paycheck. Honeywell pays you so that your boss, also under the paycheck and probably whining about life in Honeywell, may treat you however he wants to treat you just as long as it doesn't cross any lines that may have legal implications.

@1xyy

What kind of "high-performance culture" are we talking about here? It's definitely not one that is focused on new product innovation and long term growth. Any poorly-run company can look good on paper with the help of clever financial engineering but the runway always eventually ends at some point. Just ask GE how well that worked out for them in the end.

Well, if you have had enough, then turn in your badge. Yea I thought so, just another malcontent griping about having a gig. I absolutely guarantee that any other multi-national company is reorganizing and dealing with FX currency to meet the next quarter's numbers. If you didn't sign up for a high-performance culture, then turn in your badge and walk.

My loyalty is with the son-in-law's commercial excellence, expectation of arms-crossed obedience to the standard of no organic growth, losing share, off shoring, and the old-boys network.

That's the Honeywell way. Lean on the productive ones. Get rid of the less productive ones. Then lean on the productive ones even harder.

Even the less productive ones did some work. I'm sick of this place.

I recall way back in the DC days when they talked about how they would reward those who were left behind after a big round of layoffs….

Y’all remember all those big rewards, right?
