Retirement finally!

I've been on this website for a few years now. The love and hate for this company has never waivered since coming here. I'm not trying to rub it in but I finally pulled the plug! I retired yesterday because I was sick and tired of the mental games from a new boss. I kept up mainly with my 401K on a weekly basis but after last week or so I took a look at the pension. I had no idea it went up that much and I was going to lose 30% after this year!! I feel like a load has been lifted off my shoulders. I got a job interview on Thursday. There is life after this S...ho-e of a company. Good luck everyone!

use to want to retire from att but now that I left six years ago I can be proud and say I didn't retire on my own but left for greener acres and better technology.

Glad you made it out. I'm going to try and ride out a bit longer, too young to retire, and too good of a gig to leave. I actually have really great bosses, gonna have to force me out.

Congrats and best of luck! I also had my exit interview yesterday and also officially retired now. Legacy T Decision to retire was solely a financial one. Almost 61 and just couldn’t fathom taking a 30% haircut on my lump sum at my age. Best of luck to all and have a plan B just in case

I am siting here waiting for my "exit interview" and I will be rid of Toxic-T.

I hope that Ratty and Stinky experience all the pain they inflicted on employees, shareholders and customers over their reign of te---r. I hope they both loose every dime of their competition.

To all that remain - get out!

Congrats on the retirement. Bad bosses and shithole companies are everywhere. It’s the nature of the world now. Make sure you interview them as much as they interview you. Look for red flags. Ask how long they’ve worked for the company. If someone interviewing you says less than a couple years, it’s usually a red flag. If all your interviewers say only a couple years, run. Most companies have an average employee tenure of less than 2 years and they dog you way worse than here. I’ve been there done that. Att is definitely heading in that same direction, we’re behind the curve. Most companies have been there for a long time. That’s why job hopping is so prevalent outside T.
