Until recently, I refused to believe that the leadership had degraded this place so much that it was no longer possible to call it a prosperous company with a future.

When the Cricket sales model mirrored T-Mobile but we kept the heavy fees and murky pricing on our ATT mobile plans.
When did I realize? When they pulled coffee and stopped providing plastic spoons. When they stopped emptying the trash and cleaning desks. Also when the same toilet was overflowed for theee weeks. Pretty good indication its not profitable.
Since 1999 when the stock was at $43.57 it's never done anything but go down to today's price - a 56% drop. Mismangement entrenched themselves in '99. And they've layed off people every year and they still can't raise the stop value. They need to be sent home, now.
You can always tell the sbc deekzookers…
When did you realize you were a underperforming whiner?
Same old whining. Day after day.
When they let Melissa Arnoldi, a contractor, launch the iPhone.
T was S_D_MIZ_D by Cowboys. Yee Haw!

“Typically give CEO’s wide latitude“
What point should wide latitude stop? T-mobile debacle? Mexico? Latin America? Xander? Direct TV? Warner Bros? and that’s just the larger purchases or non purchases. All done while playing the shell game with finances and stocks, fuzzy math accounting and giving share holders a dubious financial outlook. The retraction of dividend percentage rates is proof.
There needs to be a deep dive with investigative financial lawyers with what was said during investment meeting's and what really was happening. There should be consequences for all involved! The file and rank have already paid the price!
Typically give CEO’s wide latitude. Also read that Whitacre intervened with BOT members he had a hand in appointing. Don’t remember how the timing worked but wouldn’t surprise me if they weren’t given rosy Uverse assumptions which made the TW deal digestible from a TV/Entertainment perspective.
What board? They are just a bunch C-suite rubber stamp stooges drawing a huge salary for doing nothing. No consequences for the worst business decisions and highest debt in history, while upper management continues to be rewarded for failing and everyone else suffers.
You can only surplus, right-size, spread the peanut butter, sell off your assets, contract out, lose your knowledge base etc.. before it’s time to pay the piper! Of course those responsible have already been well rewarded or pulled their rip-cords without any remorse or consequences. They are arrogant to the end, while posting videos of their country club lifestyles. Makes me sick!!
It’s a SAD time in our country, we have gone in reverse to the early days of the last century. The Lords and serfs of Jekyll island.
Better yet, Honestly can’t remember the last time I felt it was prosperous……
Parted out or acquired whole. Either way, they’ve managed to wreck the company. Where was the Board of Directors through all of this mess? You’d have thought someone would have learned a lesson after C. Michael Armstrong and his debacle. Guess not.
