Honeywell furloughed all their employees for one week without pay. They said it was because the company was losing money and they didn't want to fire anyone. Well, during that timeframe, they acquired another company. Basically, they furloughed their employees to fund their M&A activities. Beyond reprehensible.

this company is nothing more than cooperate crooks. Who use their employees to boost their stock and leverage their assets to influence discriminating practices and get away with it.
How can you lie to the United States Military and the people of the United States and get away with it? Sure, pay a fine and it will all go away. When your annual revenue is 36 billion whats a few hundred million in fines as long as no sanctions are put in to stop normal practices.
And it will continue until someone decides enough is enough. Honeywell is getting to the point it will take a small army of lawyers and several violations to dissolve the company. Do you people know the CEO of express scripts once sat 11th on the board of directors at honeywell? Express scripts, you know the company who bought Cigna, CVS and also provides Honeywell with one of the 2 insurance carriers that provide insurance to its employees? You know Honeywell attempted to do genetic testing on all employees for medical cost reductions saying it was for the employees benefit and advance recognition of hereditary illnesses? If your getting laid off did you do the genetic testing before the injunction? or are they continuing to do it even after the EEOC filed the lawsuit against genetic testing? better look that one up. you might be losing your job cuz you have illness in your genes.

Survived at this company for 30 years, I was one of the lucky ones! I don't miss this place and the stories I could tell! Management was a game and you got shuffled around like playing cards. I don't know how I made it through the constant layoffs. You always had that threat hanging over your head which made working there depressing.

The stories I could tell about this place. The HR executive who told a friend he’d never be a manager because he liked people too much. The VP who told an employee to write their own performance review - which he rejected. The VP who pressured people to sign off on a system ( including threats of termination) in order to meet the VPs performance goals. The VP whose first action was to tell a manager she wants to send a message to an entire department - put all Dept employees in the elbow blocks on their performance reviews. The VP who booked a trip to a foreign country when told one of the new employees was extremely hot. I could go on but you get the point. Upper management is devoid of ethics - make the numbers or make them up.

Just been laid off for the 2nd time by Honeywell. I left a great job to come back to this XXXXhole for a colleague who promised that this was a new era and great things to come. I had planned to retire from this place and too late to learn my lesson that they are all about the bottom line. Not enough profit. Was told they had a great Sales quarter and then come to find they laid of 7K people including myself because their profit margin was not big enough for them. I will NEVER come back.

Wow Hoo
This is my last week. I am one of the lucky ones. I am retiring. Made it out alive. Best of luck to others and hope it lasts long enough for you. Company has lost all my respect over the years.

Been layed off last October (merry christmas) after more than 10y of service (i will not give too much details here but i was in a high level technical role).
It was totally unexpected to say the least and the way it was done, was totally disrespectful. And good luck to get an explanation on why you were on the list for the cuts! Your boss will hide behind the "i am sorry but i signed an NDA, so all i can say is that there is nothing personal" or similar bullsh-t phrase. Now they are reaching out to offer me a position to bring me back in Hw (but a different team and role). The role offered is very interesting, but still hesitant to come back as i dont want to go through this again (feels like PTSD..)

When the company stops caring about getting parts, supplies and getting work done and only about Diversity-Inclusion-and Equity, the company will live up to that acronym. Customers want service and don’t care about these distractions.

I suspect the dismemberment of SPS is intentional. It is too deliberate to be just stupidity.
We are now going the beyond the shameful tactics of temporarily boosting financials for the passing of executive bonus thresholds, something else is brewing. The rumors of an SPS breakup is looking increasingly likely.

@13wsh and others,
Let's pay attention to the SPS Q4 2022 Results Town Hall on 2/2. I'm sure it will provide valuable insight into the future of SPS in 2023. I am hearing weekly of valuable people leaving this division. I mean people with decades of experience in the SPS product lines. Honeywell can't be this stupid. Or can they?

@6ded+1jVL2Fl4 You mention GK, so you are in SPS. Raises will be given but frozen until the economic climate HON is operating under improves. So we ain't gettin' nothin'! Got this directly from my VP in Singapore. Good god, all stick, no carrot.

It is not only doing more RIFs in 2023 but the way they are doing it is incredibly disrespectful. In my case they actually had me hire a person as a "Secession Plan" and they were at a lower cost basis, and I was on the latest rounds of Honeywells RIF's. My business was growing and healthy for several years straight doubling in revenue.

They do this to make their EOY numbers to the Honeywell E-Bands and Corporate Executives can open the "gate" to payout their annual bonuses.... Incredible! I would NOT trust this company, it is not a heathy, of trustworthy company... the executive structure prevents any BU from building a team/family environment. I also, know for a fact they do not pay as well as other top companies. What a blessing is it being out of that stressful company.

I think 2.3 percent was the highest raise permitted for 2023 Q1 raises confirmed from my director.

But it’s early. I’m sure GK and DA will find a way to sc--w us out of even this meager penance.

SPS was regarded as SBG of the Year during the pandemic for their great sales potential of masks while AERO slid the worst with their only contraption to the market during the pandemic was a UV Cleaning device to be used on the aisles of aircrafts. It was worthless from its conception and probably a laughing stock to the airline world on a product that bore the Honeywell logo could be so god-awful useless. Could have made some money if it wasn't for the sun tanning bars rejecting it because it would burn their clients to crisp.
I digress. Back to SPS. So, even when SPS was named SBG of the Year not too long ago and looking at it now with their mask business not raking in any longer and Intelligrated losing its foothold on any warehouse management capability, its only too soon when SPS would be spun off to fend for themselves and slowly rot away in their business till its small enough that an India based company scoops it up for a penny to the dollar and carts the whole business back to India and charm their residents with the Honeywell logo yet again.

I, for one, would like to know if my plant is going to be closed/transitioned so I can do proper planning.

Of course, being around for a minute, I understand that no communication will be provided until after any decision is final.

I poke around here just to see how other business units are up to. I don't get fearfully since I just assume that my site will be hit one way or another. So I just plan for it. If I don't get impacted I'll actually be better off. If I do my family will still be fine for quite sometime.

Why predict the worse? Will it be of any use to be able to see who is gonna lose their jobs? Absolutely pointless, in my opinion to stoke nothing other than fear.

Good chance SPS will look to divest as much as it whilst it still has something to sell. Either way, with the recent gutting of the business there is no coming back. The only option is to simplify, maybe that is why they created SST to sell it off as a unit?

I predict honeywell building and safety will continue to cut now that the chinese rebranding game is over. Aero will struggle to hire to the point it has to close sites due to lack of labor.

Director friend in SPS- layoffs and furloughs in Q1 based on stock market differential. Delta from high to low is the key factor.

I expect both based on history.
