Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

December layoffs

First 2 weeks of December will be layoffs right before the tech change freeze. It sucks to be fired before Xmas.

If layoffs are tomorrow then the 60 day employment window would cut people off 2 days prior to bonus payout…

Happened to me a week before Christmas at 2003 after 15 years at my first company. Right before closing on a new house, no less.

Corporate America is heartless. When they are done with you, they don’t care what you have done for them.

@1rhh+1jV1Hf1S If you are laid off you get a percentage of your bonus based on what percentage of the year you worked. If you get notified in December your end date will be in February so you will get your entire bonus for 2022.

If you quit you get nothing.

My supervisor just said that bonuses would be paid sometime in January. Last year it was February. Then again, my supervisor is a bit underwhelming and not all together…
I stopped listening to the fool a long time ago.

Are bonuses supposed to be paid out on or around 2/16. This would make sure the Dec batch doesn't get this bonus, right?

@rvo Fine! Shut down WF in America and opened it in India, instead.

It happens, believe me as I was told that I would be severed at the end of December upon returning from Thanksgiving on Monday Nov 29, 2015. My severance package began at the beginning of the New Year. December was my 30 day notice period.
Best thing that ever happened to me! I enjoyed 8 months of severance and found a much better job.
