What does this mean for us?

I know of at least 2 people that quit because they refused to get vaccine in clearwater. Others falsely filed exemptions, and when the deadline came around, they were still here. The rest of us that went and got it, some begrudgingly, it was not longer required to have it. Some people even went and got antibody treatments in place of the vaccine and were aloud to keep their jobs.

The whole settlement in this article was 6 figures - each plaintiff got $25k.

No one is getting 6 figures from hon over this. Maybe you will get a little rainy day money. Better than nothing. Good luck.

Honeyhell is accused of many more egregious discrimination violations than what is listed in this suit. Individual payouts will be in the 6 digits if settled out of court. Much more if it goes to jury trial. Those affected should contact the Florida law firm listed in the filing for more details about joining.

This is great news for those of us covered under the recently filed class action lawsuit against HON! If you can set a precedent like this in Cali, then the suit in FL, which never locked down, will likely yield an even bigger out-of-court settlement. As predicted, large public & private entities do NOT want the negative publicity and discovery of a jury trial, which will potentially open them up to even bigger lawsuits.

Also, this is about forcing people to take unpaid leave or pay for their own tests. It's in no way related to being fired over vaccines. It has no bearing on us.

According to our HR Karens, HON never fired anyone for refusing the vaccine or not wearing a mask, so don't expect anything
