Wear it in public -- if you dare!

Does this stuff actually sell? Who in the world actually pays out of their pocket to wear a work jacket? Serious question.
I accepted a new job in Oct and the new company sent me a “welcome pack” of branded swag. Travel thermal tumbler, water bottle, hat, tote bag, sweatshirt and t-shirt.
I was using the tumbler to bring coffee Thanksgiving grocery shopping (a Yeti btw!) and FOUR different people pointed it out and told me how much they love having their money at this place. When the first asked me - do you work there? I froze, worried they were about to give me an earful of bad service. My relief when they raved about how much they love the place was all over my face.
Almost 20 years at WF and never once did anyone, including family, ever say how much they loved having their business there. The ONLY place I would bring or wear WF branded swag would be volunteer events and even then I’d pull the t-shirt on over another once I got to the place.
Why give this dump free advertising?
Where’s the happy bday mugs?
I never tell people who I work for. Walking around here wearing a WF shirt is just asking for trouble.
I tear the red shirts into strips and tie them to items hanging off my trailer.
What gets me is they have 20% off shopping sale, but have given me a 30% cut in pay with no production bonus. Least they could do is give us a turkey for T-Day! Guess I'm the turkey for putting up with it~
While I actually enjoy my job here I'm embarrassed to even tell people I work for this bank when they ask. I usually just say I work in IT for a bank and hope that they don't ask which one. No way I'd ever pay to advertise this company in public with "swag".
I bought a tshirt from there and a month later, got the boot. 👎
The prices aren't bad, tbh. And some of the logos are hard to see.
Here’s another slogan.
If you think Blaine the monorail is scary, wait till you ride the stage coach…
There’s a new slogan.
Wells Fargo bank. Where your accounts mysteriously increase like rabbits.
Sure, if I get paid 100 bucks an hour, that is.
I’ll definitely need additional health insurance. Long-term care insurance. Life insurance. And any kind of other insurance for bodily harm and reputational risk…
